Studied at the Queensland University of Technology. Has been a finalist for many prizes including the 2016 Fleurieu Food & Wine Art Prize, the EMSLA Award, the Paddington Art Prize, the Toowoomba Biennial and the Sulman Prize as well as others.
Sylvia McEwan studied from 1985-88 at the Queensland University of Technology (formerly Brisbane College of Advanced Education) She has held solo exhibitions since 1996.
