Wilmotte Williams

Wilmotte Williams was born in Sydney in November 1916. Williams died in May 1992; the year of her death she received Highly Commended for 1992 Sydney Royal Easter Show.

Wilmotte Williams was born in Sydney in November 1916 in to an artistic family. Best known for Paddington street scenes she also painted children, flowers and buildings and often combined subject matter. She was a pioneer of the charity art show movement. Williams was a conservation artist, and would paint buildings due to be demolished, such as the QVB or the Kings Cross fountain. Williams died in May 1992; the year of her death she received Highly Commended for 1992 Sydney Royal Easter Show.
