Joseph Bezzina

Bezzina studied at the Royal Art Society of NSW and at the Southern Sydney Institute of TAFE.He has won many awards including the Thora Ungar Memorial Award, the Medal of Distinction at the Royal Art Society of NSW, the UTA Paint your Way to Paris in 100 minutes prize, the Sutherland Shire Bennial Art Prize and the Watlin-Von Bibra Art Prize.

Joseph Bezzina studied at the Royal Art Society of NSW throughout 1984-1994, and from 1993-2003 at the Southern Sydney Institute of TAFE gaining a certificate of Fine Arts, a Statement of Attainment in Skills & Practice in Fine Arts and an Advanced Creative Fine Arts Certificate. He has exhibited widely since 1988. His works take as their subject mainly landscape, with which Bezzina has a private emotional attachment. Bezzina has taught at the Hazelhurst Regional Gallery and since 2001 has been teaching at the Pleinair Landscape class RAS of NSW. He has won many awards including the Thora Ungar Memorial Award, the Medal of Distinction at the Royal Art Society of NSW, the UTA Paint your Way to Paris in 100 minutes prize, the Sutherland Shire Bennial Art Prize and the Watlin-Von Bibra Art Prize, along with many others. His work is held by the Fairfax Group, the Sutherland Shire Council, the Reserve Bank of Australia, ING Bank and B&D Australia as well as numerous private collections.
